There are people who can go through life abusing alcohol and drugs without realizing what they are doing. This startling statistic must surely grab the attention of every responsible adult. Adolescent alcohol abuse usually starts out with a teenager trying a drink because their friends are doing it. It can be the influence of someone older, but that is not always the case. Some teens try it, but do not touch it again until they are of age to drink. Others use it once in a while, but they don’t feel the need to do it all of the time. Another segment will end up with adolescent alcohol abuse issues because they have problems and an addictive personality.
